Comments: From the mid-1930s to mid-1940s, he painted in marvellous Social Surrealist style (influenced by Dali) and gained a reputation for via his art to make strong communal criticisms. Even before moving to NYC in 1932 he was politically elaborate, having helped produce a labor guide called Strike" in Provincetown, MA; make something stand out arriving in NYC he joined assorted political organizations, including the John Kindhearted Club. Painted a political mural (now lost) for the 13th Street Politico Workers School, NYC.
